What is Laksa?

Laksa is a delicious, heart-warming and fragrant hot noodle soup.

Our take on a traditional Laksa is a curry-like noodle soup with creamy coconut milk, rice noodles, chicken, fish ball, tofu, king prawn, fresh coriander and mint, crispy shallots and bean sprouts. The broth is made with our signature paste and stock and includes turmeric and red chillies that gives it a warm, healthy kick.

We serve our sumptuously fresh Laksa with an optional spoonful of Sambal chilli sauce, which is a traditional accompaniment. Our recipe is naturally gluten free and halal. We also often make vegetarian and vegan versions too – because we believe EVERYONE should get to experience the mouth-watering joy of a delicious bowl of our Laksa.

In Indonesia they believe that Laksa was born from the Chinese coastal settlements and the mixing of cultures between Chinese sailors and the local cooking practices. Meanwhile, in Malaysia, the dish is believed to have been introduced by Chinese immigrants. In Singapore, where Laksa is considered a national dish, the recipe in its local incarnation is believed to have been created as something of a collaboration between the Peranakan Chinese and local Singaporeans.

Whatever the roots of this incredible noodle soup, it’s undeniably one of the world’s most delicious dishes.
